Affordable, Comfortable Shoes for the Office

Have you ever walked through a shoe store and fantasized about wearing the gorgeous, chic high heels on display but inwardly cringed because you know they will wreck your feet by day’s end? In some cases, within one hour of wearing heels my feet are aching. It’s an understatement when I say that affordable, comfortable and stylish shoes are hard to come by. If you’re plagued with wide feet AND bunions, you will especially know what I mean.

In my recent search, I’ve come across three pairs that seem to fit the bill for my bunion plagued feet.

Vince Camuto Jasenia Flat

These have been my favorite go-to flats for months! Fortunately, they are still in stock and come in three colors: beige suede, light gray suede and black leather. I understand some of you may be doubtful of slingback but I tell you, these will stay on your feet. There’s room for my bunion, and the shoe stretches comfortably over them. I’ve even worn them to sightsee around Carmel-by-the-Sea.

Abella Satine Pump

Heel height is one of the biggest factors when bunions are in control of your shoe choices. Kitten heels seem to be the obvious choice; however, these pumps at 3 inches of covered heel were a clear winner for comfort. According to the shoe description, “the True Comfort footbed features extra cushioning and perfectly-placed arch support for a dreamy fit that's thoughtfully designed.” I couldn’t agree more! When I first slipped these on, I definitely felt the difference. This comfy pump is available in black or taupe.

Calvin Klein Women's Cecily Dress Sandals

For a dash of fun, I purchased this dress sandals in black python and have no regrets! These can only be found at Macy’s as they were specifically created for Macy’s. The front band is wide and flexible enough to accommodate my bunion, and the heel height of 2.5 inches did not aggravate them. The bottom of the shoe is slippery; however, nothing a no-skid shoe sticker couldn’t fix! The sandals are available in three colors: crimson red, black python and beige.
